Program for Parents & Teachers

TRAINING COURSE ON LEARNING DIFFICULTIES

As PRAYATNATM has been imparting literacy and numeracy skills to hundreds of children over the years, we wish to spread our wings by reaching out to more children. And the best way to touch more lives is to train more teachers in our unique pedagogical approach. In this context, PRAYATNATM has created a comprehensive training program for teachers and parents to help children with learning difficulties.

Train the Trainer

Besides providing trainees with a theoretical background on definitions of learning disabilities, assessment, enhancement of literacy & numeracy skills, other common developmental disorders, the course also provides 60-hours of practicum training where trainees get to observe and interact with children.

On completing the course, a recent trainee wrote, "Overall all aspects of the course were informative, especially the various features of each type of learning disability." Another trainee said, "Hands on usage of material and the practical training is wonderful". A third trainee responded, "The course has actually helped me understand my child better."

RESOURCE ROOMS

PRAYATNATM also helps schools set up resource rooms on campus so that children with learning difficulties can receive remedial support within the school itself. Besides attending our training program, teachers will also be given a complete package of assessment tools and teaching aids to work with children.

Conducted annually, PRAYATNATM provides a platform for parents to interact with each other and share and discuss issues relevant to their children’s well-being. Recent forums have explored building resilience in children, tempering tantrums, future career options and taking care of parental needs.
